I'm Danie - an educator by trade and a writer by heart. Whether it's my accent or my over-the-top attitude, there's no denying I'm an Alabama gal; it naturally translates into my writing.

 

With a passion for everywhere and everything, I'm a textbook Enneagram type 7 who's trying to find balance and intersection in my passion for Jesus, my love for the South, and my desire for systemic change. After graduating from the University of Alabama in 2018, my heart for writing took an unexpected turn, leading me into a love for editing and teaching. As I navigated this change in scenery, I realized my niche hadn't really changed at all - people have always been the center of my love for journalism, storytelling, and the written word.

 

I love writing and reading stories by people, about people, and for people. Even more, I've noticed, I love to share this heart with people. Whether I I find myself behind the scenes as an editor, at center stage as a teacher or fingers-at-the-ready as a writer, I'm eager to tell, share, and encourage stories.

So this is a space dedicated to writing. While all the words are mine, I share stories, quotes and ideas that  impact me. This is my online journal, a place where I talk to God about the ways He's talking to me and invite you to join me for the journey.
